It is the lyric of song titled Denpasar Moon sing by a Philippine singer Maribeth. Denpasar City the capital of Bali Province got its famous as the centre of the God's Island. The only city in the island is the Bali's government officials and Denpasar City government center. It is also the Bali's economic centers and the most dense area in Bali Province. 


Based on the Indonesia law about local governance, an area have to meet minimum condition to be approved as a city. The condition based on the total area, the total population, area's borders, area's scopes and time range the previous governance approved. The condition including the aspects of geographic, demographic, safety and defense, social, politic, culture, economic, finance and the ability to run the governance's administrative. 


Denpasar Municipality have total area 127.78 square kilometers. The area consist of land in Bali mainland, 1 island (Serangan Island), and 4 miles seawater area from the outer shoreline. There are 5 sub-districts in Denpasar. Denpasar Selatan sub-district with 39,12 square kilometers or 39 % (percent) of Denpasar City area, Denpasar Timur sub-district with 17,46 square kilometers or 17% of Denpasar City area, Denpasar Barat sub-district with 18,83 square kilometers or 19% of Denpasar City area and Denpasar Utara sub-district with 24,59 square kilometers 25 percents of Denpasar City area. 


The altitude of Denpasar city is 0 to 75 meter above sea level. Denpasar Timur and Denpasar Selatan have shoreline and sea water areas. Serangan Island, the only island in Denpasar city is belong to Denpasar Selatan Area. The main harbor in Bali Province for logistics transports and fisheries industry is Benoa Harbor in Denpasar Selatan. And also the most famous Sanur beach where many resorts, hotels, tourism industry is in Denpasar Selatan area. In 2022, a passenger fast boats harbor for transport to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida have constructed and operated in Sanur Beach.


Sanur was the first area in Bali which developed for tourism. Many old buildings, hotels and resorts still exist along Sanur area Bali. The city have old memories for many people who have visiting Bali years ago. Beautiful sunrise view in Sanur with stunning views to Bali highland and Mount Agung which sometimes covered by layers of clouds and clear seawater at the white sandy beach is one of Denpasar city tourist attraction. No wonder, the Philippine singer made Denpasar as a memories for her song.

Mount Agung, The Mighty Volcano in Bali Island

Mount Agung known in Indonesia as Gunung Agung. In Bahasa Indonesia Gunung is Mount and Agung is Great or Mighty. It can be defined that the Mount Agung have very significant influences for the livings around the mount for its great name. Mount Batur, the UNESCO Caldera Geopark in Bali Highlands

Mount Batur or Gunung Batur is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas in Bali Island, Indonesia. In line of north west of Mount Agung creating the Bali Island highlands.
